The cd EP Way Beyond the Portal of the Bone White Rubber Sun , was released in nov 2000 on UK label Rage of Achilles. The record contains five tracks of psychedelic rock ‘n roll. The first four tunes were recorded back in july 1999 and the fifth one, From Where You Stand, was put on tape as early as 1997. That song is also guitarist Jonas Nordins only vocal performance on a Satellite Circle record so far. What was later to become the EP was at first a demo made to promote the band and land a deal. After the deal with ROA was closed, the material was mastered to be a proper release.

The self entiteled Satellite Circle album was released july 30 2001. It was recorded back in january 2000 and features nine tracks ranging from downtuned sabbathstyle heaviness and doomed out skynyrd grooves to psychedelic jamming. The Satellite Circles´ trademark loose yet tight feel is present all the way through the record. It is obvious for any listener that this band have spent a lot of time by the turntable, listening to worn ´72 era Stones, Captain Beyond and Stooges vinyls. And made their own thing of it. The tunes are even heavier and more psyched out than those found on the Way Beyond the Portal of the Rubber Sun EP. Elements of far eastern music have been brought in, making the listening experience even more dynamic than before.
